Arrangement dating in Ukraine

Arrangement dating (also known as sugar dating) is becoming a popular form of dating amongst young and hot Ukrainian women. They like to get down to business straight away and therefore decide to become a sugar baby.

Not sure with sugar dating or a sugar baby is?

Wikipedia says: A sugar baby is a person who receives cash, gifts or other financial and material benefits in exchange for company. It can include sex or intimacy, but it doesn’t have to. The paying partner is typically wealthier and older.

Asking the local girls from Ukraine for advice

During my questionnaire I asked one hundred Ukrainian women from the cities Kiev, Odessa, Vinnytsja, Kryvy Rih and Lviv about their experiences with meeting men from foreign countries.

The questionnaire consisted of 15 multiple choice questions and one open question. Of the 100 subscribers,  98% answered the questionnaire. Their ages varied between 19 and 38 years old and 72% of participants were single at the time of answering this questionnaire.

The results

When asked if they would be interested in dating men from a foreign country, 95% said yes and 5% said no. It was interesting to see that of the 95%, almost 75% would prefer a man from Western Europe or The United States of America/Canada. The other 25% was divided between Middle East (12%), Australia (5%), China (3%) and Others (5%).

Regarding the importance of a traditional family role in relationship a stunning 98% said it was still important.

For a gift on the first date: 72% of the girl’s preferred flowers, whilst 28% said chocolates.

Although the location was not very important to most of the girls, 64% said they preferred that the men would order the meal and drink for them.

89% mentioned that they expect the men to pay for the first date and 69% said that personal hygiene and sense for fashion are important trades.

For picking up girls on the spot only 64% said that they would be willing to provide their phone number, but interesting enough almost 76% would prefer a straight forward request for the phone number instead of a smooth pick-up line.

 

Open question: What advice would you give foreigners who want to start dating in Ukraine?

Of the 98 participants, 6 Ukrainian girls shared their experiences by filling in the open questions. They tried their best to answer the questions in English.

A first impression

“You never get a second chance to make a first impression. I one time had an American guy who had the worse haircut (to cover his bald spot) and was wearing a t-shirt with Pugsley dogs, trying to convince me that he was  rich business men and that it would be smart to date him. Sorry, but looks are also important to me. If look like this I think you are not serious. I also earn my own money and I am not a mail-order bride”

Why are you here?

” My first question will be why they are visiting Ukraine? Unfortunately, I encounter a lot of visitors who are just looking for fun and sex. I have no interest in such activities and I can spot those men from miles away. Most of the time they are 20 years older than me.”

Paying the bill on a first date

“I one time went out with a Greek gentleman in Odessa. He was a nice guy and the evening was going great until it was time to pay the bill. He wanted me to pay 50% for first date. You can call me old-fashion, but for me it is very important a men shows he is financially in charge. He does not need to be rich, but I work full-time and unfortunately Ukrainian salaries are extremely low compared to European countries. I make a great effort to look my best when going on a date and invest a lot of my own money in my looks, therefore I think it should be compensated from his side as well”

As I mentioned earlier, getting feedback from local woman can definitely improve your dating game. They can give you valuable information on how to make the first step on becoming successful in the dating game. According to the data this would be the best approach when picking up girls in Ukraine.

1. Before asking a girl out you should be well dressed and have an overall good appearance
2. Ukrainian girls can be asked out publicly, but in a straight forward matter. No fancy pick up lines
3. It should be asked in Russian first, but explain also that it is not your first language. It is about the effort
4. Humour is key
5. When offering a meal or drink, take charge and order for her. You can ask beforehand what she likes
6. If you can’t go for a drink right away, ask for her phone number and bring flowers or chocolates on your first date
7. Always pay for the meal and drinks on the first date

Final Words about Dating in Ukraine

Although 98 women is of course a very small sample size, it could be a first stepping-stone to a bigger questionnaire in the near future. I hope the results will help you out, but you can also start doing your own research.
